$1,000 COULD BE YOURS!
CALL 407-614-8354 FOR MORE INFORMATION
Don't think that it can’t be you or your children. Your employer’s membership in FADRA gives you and your children this amazing opportunity. Applying is simple and free. Recipients will join us to be acknowledged at the Annual Convention Banquet.
FADRA Scholarship Guidelines and Criteria
FADRA awards up to three $1,000 scholarships to employees, their children and/or grandchildren of non-owner FADRA Member employees and Associate Members attending various colleges, night schools, and technical schools. Children/students who demonstrate potential and interest in pursuing an undergraduate degree are eligible to apply. Scholarships are awarded per calendar year.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates are required to have been approved for admission at a Qualified Community College, State College or University, Night School, or Technical School.
- The applicant must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.70/4.00.
- An official copy of the candidate’s high school transcript, or prior year’s college transcript, must accompany the application.
- All Candidates must submit a one-page essay expressing their reasons for choosing a desired field, why they think they should receive the scholarship, and an overview of their future aspirations.
- Two recommendation letters are required: one from a FADRA Member, and one personal reference. Examples include: counselor, high school teacher or activity director who is familiar with the candidate, college professor, or personal acquaintance.
Note: Selection emphasis will focus on coursework while in high school or college, course distribution, activities, the one page essay, and recommendation letters, rather than standardized test scores as a predictor for success.
Application Process
Candidates will be required to submit a complete application package, which includes a completed application form, transcript, essay, and two recommendation letters. Three members of the FADRA Scholarship Committee will review the applications and choose the winners.

Deadline Date – June 1
All application materials must be received at the FADRA Offices by June 1st. Scholarship Winners will be notified in writing in June and will be announced at the FADRA Annual Convention in July.
The Scholarship Award, a check in the amount of $1,000, will be presented to the scholarship recipient upon written certification of his/her enrollment for the fall term of the year the scholarship was granted. If the scholarship winner does not provide verification of his or her enrollment, or does not enter a community or state college in the fall, the scholarship monies will be forfeited.
Note: Previous Scholarship Winners are eligible to receive additional funding from FADRA. However, applicants must re-apply each year for Scholarship consideration.
FADRA would like to thank our Members and Corporate Partners for their generous contributions that make funding these scholarships possible!
